With everything that Convict da General has done, he has decided to now go by his legal name Jean-­Claude. When asked what prompted the name change, he simply stated that "There were too many negative connotations that came with the name Convict. I'm getting older and I'm not in that space anymore nor do I want to be seen as such. I’m moving on to bigger and better things". With big changes comes big things and that's what Jean­Claude is all about. Jean­Claude wants to make it clear that although his name has changed his music will still be the same and he will still be bringing the heat.
